video > Queen Mary Presents 'Shipwrecked' the Annual Terrorfest!

Description

Queen Mary in Long Beach is supposedly one of the most haunted sites in the entire world. The inactive luxury cruise liner, which once carried travelers from Europe to New York and was used as a troopship during World War 2, has been retired for over 40 years and resides permanently in Long Beach, California. Now it serves as a hotel and tourist destination... and favorite spot for anyone looking for a close encounter of the ghostly kind. Stories of the spirits who still stalk the halls of the Queen Mary persist, with the ship's pool considered to be the center of paranormal activity. People have told stories of hearing splashing sounds from the empty pool while others have sworn that they heard the sounds of children's cries from the ship's former nursery room. The Queen Mary's engine room has been the site of many alleged encounters, right near the watertight door that crushed an 18 year old fireman in 1966. So is the Queen Mary haunted or is it just a case of guest's imaginations running wild? You can find out for yourself by taking one of the Queen Mary's multiple paranormally themed tours, including their popular “Ghosts and Legends” experience, featuring theatrical special effects to enhance the spooky atmosphere. And if you're brave enough, you can even take a private ghost sighting tour through the ship... but you might not want to be so alone in certain creepier parts of the vessel. Every October, the Queen Mary presents "ShipWrecked," their annual "Halloween terrorfest," which features seven spine tingling mazes, including one that goes through the bowels of the ship... as if that's not scary enough without people dressed in zombie makeup jumping out at you from around corners. And the Queen Mary still operates as hotel, letting you spend the night in one of the cabins onboard... if you dare. I'm Liesel Hlista for TravelWishTV.com. Keep watching for more spooky Halloween travel tips.
