video > Spooky Travel - Knott's Scary Farm

Description

Knott's Berry Farm is one of Southern California's classic amusement parks. Knott's gets a lion share of their annual visitors just in the month of October because they feature the longest running and most popular haunt in SoCal. The “Knott's Scary Farm Haunt” was the world's first Halloween theme park event, and they've been successfully scaring people around Halloween time for a staggering 36 years now. But now that Universal Studios Hollywood recently started their own "Halloween Horror Nights," Knott's has stepped it up to stay ahead of the competition, with 13 spine tingling mazes. Six of the mazes are brand new for 2008, including one based on the new horror movie “Quarantine.” And the classic mazes are just as scary as ever, including the returning “Pyromaniax” maze that lets you experience the park's log flume ride in a new way that makes the giant drop at the end the least terrifying part of the whole ride. And even if you don't dare enter of one of the mazes, you're still not safe. Much of the park has been turned into fog covered scare zones, where zombies, walking skeletons, and monsters jump out at you without notice. So if you're in Southern California, don't miss the original, and still scariest haunt. Check out "Knott's Scary Farm," If you can take it. I'm Liesel Hlista for TravelWishTV.com. Keep watching for more spooky Halloween travel tips.
