Universal Studios Orlando has been converting the movie themed amusement park into one of the most terrifying haunts in the country for 17 years now, and their annual Halloween Horror Nights are a sell out success. One reason that Universal's Halloween Horror Nights are so successful is their painstaking attention to detail that you'd expect from a park dedicated to movies and the fact that they have a different, and scarier, theme every year. This year's theme is "Reflections of Fear," a creepy descent into a “world of opposites, distortions, and terror beyond reasoning" overseen by insane psychiatrist Bloody Mary. There are 8 winding mazes where you're never sure what's coming around the next corner, while more of the park than ever before has been turned into "scare zones," where chainsaw wielding maniacs may come out of the fog when you least expect it. And all of Universal's popular attractions are open as during the Horror Nights as well, including the "Mummy's Revenge" roller coaster and the brand new “Simpsons” ride. Because Homer and the gang might be a nice break from the non stop terror that you'll encounter everywhere else in the park.
